To become a member of Christ Episcopal Church you need not have ever been an active church-goer before — everyone is welcome here. If you are interested in becoming a member of this church, you are encouraged to meet with our Part-Time Rector, the Rev. Ben Alford, to discuss membership and other questions you might have about the Christian faith tradition of the Episcopal Church.
Membership in the Episcopal Church comes through the sacrament of Baptism. Holy Baptism is full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ’s Body, the Church. Holy Baptism is offered periodically at Christ Episcopal Church throughout the year.
If you are already a baptized member of the Episcopal Church, then you may request a letter of transfer from your last parish to this parish so that you can be recorded as a member here.
If you are not already a member of the Episcopal Church, but you have been baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, then you need only to have your name added to our records. This process simply requires documenting the date and location of your baptism.
Confirmation in the Episcopal Church is a sacramental rite in which a baptized person makes a mature and public affirmation of faith. Confirmation coincides with a visitation from our Bishop, which is once per year. If you are interested in being confirmed, contact the Rev. Ben Alford to discuss the preparation process.
All baptized Christians are welcome to receive communion at the worship services here.
If you have not been baptized into the Christian church, you are still welcome to attend and participate at Christ Episcopal Church! As soon as you are ready, you are encouraged to meet with the Rev. Ben Alford to discuss baptism.
